Benham Park Polo

BENHAM PARK POLO'S friendly professionalism and unique ethos towards polo pony welfare and performance has given it the reputation as being West Berkshire’s leading location for polo livery.

Our aim is to give an entirely new polo experience and give you and your ponies as relaxed, enjoyable and memorable a time as possible. Come and immerse yourself in this beautiful historic stud with parkland surroundings, centrally located just five minutes from J13 of the M4.

We offer spacious stables, grass turn out, chukka ground, exercise track, corrales and DEFRA approved pre-export quarantine. Foaling and stud services are also available.

Benham Park Stud has existed since the late 18th century and was founded by the 6th Baron of Craven. The current location was built by the Sutton family in the 19th century. In its hey day excellent racehorses were bred here from fabulous blood lines, including Sir Richard Sutton’s legendary Lord Lyon, winner of the triple crown in 1866.

Today, the spacious Victorian stables still exhibit exquisite original features, such as Flemish bond brick work, fully varnished tongue and groove clad ventilated ceilings, blacksmith made tie up rings, blue brick blocked stable floors and leaded light windows.
